Bloemfontein – It was all system goes this morning, as all voting stations for all 18 local municipalities and 1 metro opened on time (07:00). Things so far have gone smooth.
All Logistics is in place. All necessary material was dispatched to our local offices and VD on time. The numbers indicate a fairly good turnout for most of the VD’s.
We have over 1.4 million registered voters in the province. Thus far just over 100 thousand have made their mark/ votered.
We can say things went fairly well. Of course every event will face clichés, the following were our challenges

Challenges
· Some stations opened late due to various reasons
· Posts of voters who took selfies in voting stations placed on social media
· Tents in some area, especially in the Eastern Free State where there were heavy rains were moved to semi-solid ground and reproached in different area.
· In station in Matjhabeng municipality and Thabo Mofutsanyane expirienced power outages. We encourage voters to come in numbers to exercise their democratic rights by casting their votes.
